pantone spring 2018 color - ultraviolet

The difference between violet and purple is that violet appears in the visible light spectrum, or rainbow, whereas purple is simply a mix of red and blue. Ultraviolet has the highest vibration in the visible spectrum. In the meaning of colors, purple and violet represent the future, imagination and dreams, while spiritually calming. Once the color of royalty because purple dyes were so rare, this color ranges from deep and vibrant to pale and peaceful. It's also a color that looks great with different shades together for a tone on tone palette.

If you have chosen Pantone’s Ultraviolet as one of your wedding colors you will have so many opportunities to create a unique. Linens, invites and of course flowers are beautiful ways to use ultraviolet, but think outside the usual by looking at how lighting, furniture or even specialty desserts will allow you to incorporate this vibrant color.
